Netflix has announced that it has ordered thirteen episodes of the new single-camera half-hour original comedy Lady Dynamite starring comedian Maria Bamford. Pam Brady, Mitch Hurwitz and Maria Bamford will serve as executive producers.

Netflix describes the series as follows:

The series is based on what she has accepted to be “her life.” The occasionally surreal episodes, refracted across multiple periods inspired by the actor/comedian’s life, tell the story of a woman who loses—and then finds—her s**t.
