Tonight TBS kicks off the new comedy series The Detour with back-to-back episodes. The series was created by husband and wife team/former The Daily Show correspondents Samantha Bee and Jason Jones. Nate Parker (Jason Jones) is having some financial troubles and problems at work that he wants to keep secret from his wife Robin (Natalie Zea, Justified). So he decides to secretly change the family’s vacation plans–instead of flying from Upstate New York to Florida, they will now be taking a 17-hour road trip instead. But along the way everything that can go wrong does, and this leads to a lot of wacky misadventures for the Parker family…
