Meet the Cast of Syfy’s Newest Series Van Helsing at San Diego Comic-Con

LOS ANGELES, CA – July 5, 2016 –  The stars of the upcoming television action series Van Helsing – premiering September 23rd on Syfy – will invade this month’s San Diego Comic-Con to give fans an exclusive first look at the eagerly awaited, high-octane thriller.

Scheduled for Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 5:00 – 6:00pm in the Indigo Ballroom at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel, the panel session will spotlight the first public exhibition of the sci-fi series and feature a post-screening discussion among members of the core cast and production team.

Stars Kelly Overton (True Blood), Jonathan Scarfe (Hell on Wheels) and Christopher Heyerdahl (Twilight) will join creator/showrunner Neil LaBute (In The Company of Men, Hell on Wheels) and executive producers Simon Barry (Continuum), Chad Oakes (Fargo, Hell on Wheels), and Mike Frislev (Fargo, Hell on Wheels) in a Q&A moderated by Holly Hines (Dynamic Television).

Van Helsing is a total re-imagination of a timeless brand, set in a world dominated and controlled by vampires.  Vanessa Helsing is the last hope for survival, as she unknowingly awakens to discover she has a unique blood composition that makes her not only immune to vampires, but with the ability to turn a vampire human.  With this secret weapon, Vanessa becomes a prime target for the vampires, while trying to save humanity.

The 13-episode series will debut September 23rd at 10|9c on Syfy. An exclusive sneak peek of the first episode the will air on July 31st following the world premiere of Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens.

Van Helsing is produced by Nomadic Pictures and executive produced by Dynamic Television. Dynamic Television is also handling the worldwide distribution for the series, excluding first run U.S. television and Canada.
