Tonight, Timeless, the first of many new time travel series that will join this schedule this season, premieres on NBC. Billionaire entrepreneur Connor Mason (Paterson Joseph, The Leftovers) has created a state of the art time machine, but it falls into the hands of master criminal Garcia Flynn (Goran Visnjic, ER, Extant), who plans to use it change America’s future by destroying its past. The folks at Mason Technologies have an older prototype time machine, but it was designed as more of a lifeboat and only seats 3 people. So they assemble a team to go after Flynn to prevent him from altering the past. The trio includes Delta Force soldier Wyatt Logan (Matt Lanter, 90210), history/anthropology professor Lucy Preston (Abigail Spencer, Rectify), and coder-turned-time-machine-pilot Rufus Carlin (Malcolm Barrett, Better Off Ted). The series comes from Eric Kripke (Supernatural, Revolution) and Shawn Ryan (Terriers, Last Resort, The Unit, The Shield), and the pilot was directed by Neil Marshall, who previously directed a couple of the more epic episodes from Game of Thrones…
