Today Hulu launches its latest original series Freakish. As the thriller opens, a group of diverse teenagers find themselves at the high school on a Saturday for various reasons – detention, sports, music, computers, etc. When there’s an explosion at the local chemical plant, a mysterious blanketing haze quickly makes its way towards the school, bringing with it a zombie-like disease. The students and limited faculty head for the building’s basement shelter, but there are limited supplies and some of the students get antsy and want to leave to check on their family members. However, they soon discover that a horde of mutant freaks is trying to break into the school to feast on them. Trapped, the students must fight for their survival and hope for someone to come to their rescue before it’s too late…
