Last week on Supergirl, Kara tried to help Mon-El assimilate into Earth society by getting him an internship at CatCo under the name of Mike Matthews…and a pair of glasses to help hide his identity should he want to do superhero-y stuff sometime in the future. However, Kara quickly realized that teaching him to be human wasn’t going to be easy. He didn’t understand why he couldn’t just use his powers in front of the humans because, after all, it made things so much easier. Meanwhile, Alex started to question her sexual identity after Maggie accused her of flirting with her; James was sick of always being the sidekick and decided to play vigilante in a mask; and Lena asked Kara to get Supergirl to show up at her charity ball in order to trap a gang that had been terrorizing the city using alien technology provided by Cadmus. In the end we discovered that the leader of the gang was actually Lena’s mother…
