Tonight, the first season of The Good Place comes to an end in a special 1-hour finale. Last week, Fake Eleanor tried to get her “good deed” points up by throwing a party for all of the people she had wronged, but she soon realized the only truly selfless way for her to gain points was to willingly head back to the Bad Place, which she had now resigned herself to do. Meanwhile, Michael was horrified to discover that Jianu was really Jason and that he was even worse than Eleanor in his Earth life. Michael also didn’t approve of Janet marrying Jason and planned to reboot her to remove the glitch that was allowing her to act against her programming. So lovers Janet and Jason decided to run away, and they asked Eleanor if she wanted to join them. Just after Shawn arrived at the Good Place to make a ruling on Eleanor’s fate, the trio stole his train—which certainly wasn’t going to help Eleanor’s case with the judge—and they headed off to Neutral Place to meet a woman named Mindy St. Clair…
