Syfy’s Wynonna Earp will return for a second season later this year. At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, we got a chance to speak with comic writer Beau Smith and stars Tim Rozon, Katherine Barrell, Dominique Provost-Chalkley, Shamier Anderson & Melanie Scrofano about how and why the series has become so popular with fans. Our interviews took place shortly before the panel where the second season was announced, so the actors were not allowed to confirm whether or not the series had been renewed.

Based on the IDW Comic, Wynonna Earp follows Wyatt Earp’s great granddaughter as she battles demons and other creatures. With her unique abilities, demon-killing gun, Peacemaker, and a posse of dysfunctional allies, she’s the only thing that can bring the paranormal to justice.
