Tonight, CBS is giving viewers a look at the premiere of the new The Good Wife spin-off series, The Good Fight, before the CBS All Access original series becomes exclusively available on the network’s paid streaming service. The series picks up one year after the events of The Good Wife series finale. Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski, The Good Wife) is working as a named partner at a huge Chicago law firm but is already looking forward to her upcoming retirement in Provence. Diane’s goddaughter, Maia Rindell (Rose Leslie, Game of Thrones) has just passed the bar and has joined the firm as a junior associate. Diane’s final case is defending some cops in a police brutality case, and she’s up against familiar faces Adrian Boseman (Delroy Lindo, Blood & Oil, Believe) and Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo, The Good Wife). However, a massive financial scam throws Diane’s plans into flux and also shakes things up for her young associate.
