Tonight FOX kicks off its own Survivor-like reality competition series, Kicking & Screaming, hosted by Hannah Simone (New Girl). Ten die-hard, experienced survivalists think they’re going to be partnered with someone of similar skills to complete for a $500K prize, but they are in for a shock when a boat pulls up containing ten out-of shape novices (both men and women) who have never spent a day of their lives camping or roughing it in the wild. Each survivalist has been paired with someone who is his or her total opposite, and their fates are now intertwined—if their inexperienced partner decides to quit or can’t hack it anymore, both of them are eliminated. So it’s up to these men and women to teach their partners the skills they need to survive until the end, even if they’re kicking and screaming to quit. Each week the teams complete in two challenges. The winners of the first challenge get to choose between a luxury/prize or a game-related power, while the last place team automatically participates in the elimination challenge, where one team will be removed from the competition…
