Tonight, Disney Channel launches the new series Tangled: The Series, a follow-up to the hit 2010 animated feature film, with Mandy Moore (This Is Us) & Zachary Levi (Chuck) reprising their roles as Rapunzel & Eugene Fitzherbert. A couple weeks ago, Disney Channel aired an hour-long TV movie, Tangled Before Ever After, which followed the events of the film and set things up for the series. Princess Rapunzel, who had become a short-haired brunette by the end of the film, was deeply in love with Eugene but wanted to take some time to enjoy their relationship before getting married. However, her parents still wanted to keep her locked up in the castle, safe from the dangers of the world. One night she sneaked out of the castle with her lady-in-waiting, Cassandra (Eden Espinosa), and came across some magical rock spires that caused her ridiculously long blonde hair to grow back, which Rapunzel desperately tried to hide from her parents. The next day, Rapunzel’s coronation was interrupted by the rogue Lady Kane, who was out for revenge on the royal family. However, Rapunzel was able to use her extremely versatile new hair to save the day, along with help from Eugene and his frying pan and Cassandra and her sword skills…
