NBC’s Trial & Error is quickly becoming my favorite new comedy, filling the void that was left when The Good Place finished out its first season. Last week, the defense team used DNA evidence to identify a new suspect, Rutger Hiss, the man who not only had been sleeping with Larry’s wife but was also Dwayne’s nemesis from the short time he spent training to be a police officer. Hiss soon ended up in a coma, and each member of the defense team took his or her turn as a suspect and spent time behind bars. It turned out that Hiss brought on his own coma by stealing/eating Dwayne’s sandwich, which he was allergic to. Meanwhile, the defense team uncovered more information about the murder weapon—a walking stick—and frantically searched for its location in order to prove Larry’s innocence; and Larry had a young female stalker who was a little too obsessed with him…
