Tonight, ABC’s Wednesday comedies have their season finales, and for two of tonight’s shows, that means high school graduations. On The Goldbergs, it’s Erica who’s graduating, and on Modern Family, both Manny and Luke will be finishing up their high school experiences. Both of these series have already been picked up for next season (Modern Family for two more seasons!). I can’t imagine these shows without Erica, Luke, or Manny, but I’m sure the writers will find some way to ensure that these characters’ post-graduation activities cause them to remain close to home. I always enjoy these family comedy season finales, as there’s usually some sort of big family event tied into them. However, I will really miss these shows over the summer…
