Primetime Picks… 11/2/17

Tonight Life in Pieces returns for a third season on CBS. As the second season came to a close, it was time for Colleen and Matt’s destination wedding in Mexico. However, things went wrong for everyone. Colleen and Matt missed their flights, and were stuck in a hotel. Greg and Jen made their flight, but Greg shared a cookie with another passenger who had a severe allergic reaction to it, and they were forced to deplane, and deal with a possible lawsuit. Meanwhile, John and Joan rushed off to the vet, hoping to “retrieve” the wedding ring their dog, Tank, had swallowed. And finally, after a mishap with their Uber to the airport, the Hughes family walked back home to discover their kitchen on fire. Tim had left a chocolate bar wrapper in the clothes dryer, and now the entire family would be forced to move into Tyler and Clementine’s tiny house. However, we did get a happy ending…since no one had made it to Mexico, the wedding still took place, just locally instead. Afterwords, Colleen and Matt were celebrating on their motel balcony when the rail broke, and Colleen plummeted into the pool below.

What will be the fallout (no pun intended) from the season finale? How with the Hughes family deal with being displaced from their home? How will married life change Matt and Colleen? And what other mishaps and adventures await this extended family in the new season? I always enjoy spending time with these characters and look forward to the new season.

In tonight’s premiere, “Settlement Pacifier Attic Unsyncing”, the entire Hughes family moves into John and Joan’s home after their kitchen is destroyed and their presence creates chaos for Joan. Meanwhile, Matt and Colleen are set to receive a huge monetary settlement from Colleen’s fall off the motel balcony on their wedding night; John tries to get Sophia back on track when she starts misbehaving; Tyler and Clementine make a surprise announcement; and Jen and Greg attempt to persuade Lark to get rid of her pacifier.

I’ll also be watching/recording Grey’s Anatomy, The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Life in Pieces, Superstore, The Good Place, Will & Grace, Gotham, The Orville, Nathan for You, Van Helsing, Ghost Wars and Chrisley Knows Best.
