From Oscar®-nominated producers Jordan Horowitz (Best Motion Picture, La La Land, 2016), Gary Gilbert (Best Motion Picture, The Kids Are Alright, 2010), and Morten Tyldum (Best Director, The Imitation Game, 2014), and created, written, and executively produced by Justin Marks (The Jungle Book), the first season of “Counterpart” explores a shadow world of intrigue and danger in a UN spy agency. Howard Silk (Simmons) is a lowly cog in the bureaucratic machinery of a Berlin-based United Nations spy agency. When Howard discovers that his organization safeguards the secret of a crossing into a parallel dimension, he is thrust into a shadow world of intrigue, danger, and double cross … where the only man he can trust is his near-identical counterpart from this parallel world. The show explores themes of identity, fate, and lost love, posing the eternal question, “what if our lives could have been different?”
The “Counterpart: The Complete First Season” Blu-ray and DVD special features include two featurettes, which explore the making of the show as well as interviews with the cast and crew. The Blu-ray also features Dolby TrueHD, which provides the most authentic lossless audio experience available for the home theater.
