At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, YouTube held a press room and panel for its new original series Impulse. In the press room, we got the chance to speak with executive producers Doug Liman, Gene Klein, & David Bartis, showrunner Lauren LeFranc, and stars Maddie Hasson, Enuka Okuma and Sara Desjardins. While the participants couldn’t say anything in the press room, it was announced shortly afterwards that the series had been picked up for a second season.
In the YouTube Originals drama series IMPULSE, 16-year-old Henry Coles is an outsider in her new town of Reston, New York. With a major chip on her shoulder and no friends, she remains withdrawn and isolated, but everything changes when a traumatic encounter with a classmate triggers something deep within Henry—unleashing a power she cannot control. The series is based on the novel by Steven Gould, the third book in the Jumper series.
