A couple of weeks ago Comedy Central kicked off the hilarious new series The Other Two, which centers around the lives of two twenty-something siblings whose younger brother becomes internet famous. 13-year-old Ohio teenager Chase Dubek, under the stage name ChaseDreams, becomes an overnight sensation when his music video “Marry U At Recess” goes viral. His older siblings, decide to try to ride their brother’s coattails in order to improve their failing lives. Cary (Drew Tarver, Bajillion Dollar Propertie$) is an aspiring actor who is struggling to find any work—even a role playing “guy who smells fart at party” for a TV commercial has become a dream gig for him. Meanwhile, his sister Brooke (Heléne Yorke, The Good Fight, Graves) is a former professional dancer who doesn’t know what she’s doing with her life. She recently broke up with her boyfriend and lost her job, and is now constantly on the look out for a guy to hook up with so she has a place to spend the night. The series also stars Ken Marino (Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later, Childrens Hospital) as ChaseDreams’ new manager, Streeter, who wants to be more of a buddy to Chase.

This show is just so crazy and fun—the first two episodes had me smiling throughout. In addition to the wacky adventures of the siblings, there’s also a lot of fun meta commentary about the industry, social media, and our fame-obsessed culture mixed in. In last week’s episode, the siblings tagged along to a movie premiere that Chase was invited to. Cary managed to finally book his TV commercial by re-recording his audition “more straight”, while Brooke ended up going home with an 30-something year-old woman who turned out to actually be an 11-year-old YouTube star who does make-up tutorials. I can’t wait to see what Brooke and Cary get up to this week!

In tonight’s episode, “Chase Gets a Girlfriend”, Chase collaborates with another up-and-coming singer, forcing Brooke and Cary to confront their own relationships.

Tonight I’ll also be recording Grey’s Anatomy, A Million Little Things, The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Big Brother, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Will & Grace.

For additional suggestions on what to check out tonight, including Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Star Trek: Discovery, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, check out the If We Controlled Your Remote… 2/7/19 post at TVisMyPacifier.com.
