Tonight the aftermath of The Purge continues on USA Network. Last week, Marcus was determined to figure out who had tried to purge him the night before. He headed to work at the emergency room where he noticed a tattoo on the hand of one of the patients that resembled the one he saw on his attacker. Before the man died, he uttered the words “Ivory Road”. When Marcus visited his son at college, Darren told him that Ivory Road was a dark web site—someone had put a bounty on him and it would remain active until the next Purge since he is still alive. Darren’s teacher was Professor Drew Adams, the woman that Esme saw being chased out of her house and killed on Purge Night. But who wanted her dead, and why? She seemed to be beloved by her students. Upon searching Professor Adams’ house, Esme found an envelope hidden in the staircase, and so she grabbed it just before the police arrived to inspect the house.

Elsewhere, Ryan headed to the assisted living home with his score from the bank robbery to pay the bill for his mother, who has Alzheimer’s. When he got back to the hideout, Tommy had returned, and the cops had surrounded the building. He felt guilty about cutting Tommy loose, but they had no choice since Tommy broke the Purge laws by running back in the bank after the Purge siren and gone off. Now Tommy was on his own. Meanwhile, the rest of the group was contemplating why their score seemed smaller and smaller each year—it looked like the banks were purposely hiding their money on Purge Night. So they started to try to figure out what was happening.

And finally, Ben returned home to the frat house to a very surprised Turner, who had basically left him for dead. While Ben insisted he was fine, he was clearly not. Killing another human being had certainly changed him. Later, he headed to the local mall where he got a little too excited by a virtual reality Purge game. Afterwords he headed back to the scene of his crime and retrieved the Purge mask.

I’m really enjoying how this season is exploring the aftermath of The Purge and how it effects the characters. I’m looking forward to seeing how these various stories play out, and how they all ultimately come together.

In tonight’s episode, “Blindspots”, the residual effects of the purge affect the lives of Ryan, Marcus and Esme.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording Bless This Mess, mixed-ish, black-ish, Emergence, This Is Us, The Flash, Arrow, and Treadstone.

For additional suggestions on what to check out tonight, including a new episodes of Treadstone & The Conners, check out the If We Controlled Your Remote… 10/29/19 post at TVisMyPacifier.com.
