Today The Toys That Made Us returns for a third season on Netflix. It’s a highly entertaining documentary series about the toys that we all know and grew up with. Each episode takes an in-depth look at the story behind the creation of a different iconic toy line, and how these toys changed the companies responsible for them. The filmmakers make use of fun actor reenactments, archival TV footage, and brand new interviews with authors, toy enthusiasts, and the original toy designers and executives who were responsible for bringing these product lines to fruition. The participants recount some fascinating stories surrounding the invention of these toys.

I really enjoyed the first two seasons of the series, which took a look at Star Wars, G.I. Joe, He-Man, Barbie, Star Trek, Transformers, LEGO and Hello Kitty. This season, the series will delve into the history of Power Rangers, My Little Pony, Wrestling, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It should be another fun and interesting 4 episodes, and I look forward to checking them out today.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording American Housewife, Fresh Off the Boat, The Blacklist, and today’s new episodes of Disney+ originals Encore!, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, The Mandalorian, and The World According to Jeff Goldblum.

For additional suggestions on what to check out tonight, including the series premiere of Dollface, and a new episode of Hawaii Five-0, check out the If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/15/19 post at TVisMyPacifier.com.
