Primetime Picks… 12/5/19

Today Netflix has released the third installment of its popular A Christmas Prince holiday film franchise. In the original movie, American magazine journalist Amber Moore (Rose McIver, iZombie) headed to the nation of Aldovia to cover the story of playboy Prince Richard (Ben Lamb, The White Queen), who was set to take the throne following his father’s death. She posed as the new tutor in order to get close to the prince, but instead of digging up dirt, she fell in love. All of her deceit was forgiven, and in last year’s sequel, Amber and Richard tied the knot in a royal Christmas wedding, while also diverting a political crisis that threatened the future of the kingdom.

As the song goes, first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes Amber pushing a baby carriage. That’s right, in this year’s third installment, A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby, it’s once again Christmastime, and a baby is on the way for the royal couple. However, not everything is going to go smoothly—the kingdom faces yet another crisis. Royals from a faraway kingdom have arrived in Aldovia to renew their ancient truce, but when the 600-year-old treaty between the kingdoms goes missing, not only is peace threatened, but now an ancient curse also threatens the future of the royal family. Will Amber and Richard be able to restore peace, break the ancient curse, and welcome their newest family member? (I haven’t even seen the film yet, and I know the answer is “Of Course!”)

I always enjoy these fun holiday TV movies, and this franchise in particular, so I’m looking forward to checking out this latest installment tonight.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording V Wars, Same Time, Next Christmas, Young Sheldon, The Unicorn, Carol’s Second Act, Evil, Making It, and Chrisley Knows Best.

For additional suggestions on what to check out tonight, including the series premiere of V Wars, check out the If We Controlled Your Remote… 12/5/19 post at TVisMyPacifier.com.
